OUR FACILITIES - BRYN PICA EDUCATION CENTRE

The Education Centre was opened in August 2003. Since its opening it has provided regular lectures for a number of schools on the importance of recycling wastes. Children of all ages from local communities are given the opportunity to learn about environmental issues such as waste management, recycling and the importance of participating in the kerbside collection scheme.

During their visit, children are given interactive lessons about the amount of waste produced in their locaility and how it is disposed of. They participate in hands-on experiments, a tour of the Amgen Cymru offices and visits to both the landfill site and materials recycling centre.
