Education - Bryn Pica Visitor CentreIn partnership with Rhondda Cynon Taf Waste Services we are actively seeking Schools, Groups, Colleges and Organisations from local communities within Rhondda Cynon Taf to participate in our site visits. During the visit you are introduced to concepts of waste reduction and recycling and you also get the opportunity to see these in practice.
When you visit you are given the opportunity to learn about environmental issues such as waste management, recycling and the importance of participating in the kerbside collection scheme, including the newly introduced food waste scheme.
During your visit, you will be given an interactive lesson about the amount of waste produced in our locality and how it is disposed of, together with a presentation on recycling.
The landfill safari will take you on a waste experience, looking at different projects in dealing with the waste that we all produce and how we could reduce it, which will improve your environment.
The Amgen Cymru Visitor Centre is open five days a week and is free, with us also providing a free transport service for your school, group, college and organisation.
