Overview

The community recycling centres provided by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council are funded with public money. They have been recognised as providing a high quality recycling and waste disposal service to the residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf and we want to keep it that way.

It is common for local residents to utilize work vehicles (vans with company logos printed on etc.) for disposal of material from their households and this is currently permitted at the sites.

To ensure that commercial companies do not take advantage of the services offered by the Community Recycling Centres we operate (in partnership with RCTCBC) a set of user restrictions which are strictly enforced at each of the sites.

The use of Community Recycling Centres throughout RCT is restricted to residents of RCT for the sole purpose of recycling and disposal of household waste. Disposal of commercial waste is not permitted at anytime.

Vehicle Permits – All Sites

If you arrive at the Community Recycling Centre in a commercial vehicle (van etc.) or with a trailer you will be asked to complete a Vehicle Permit. Information required on this short form includes: name and address along with vehicle registration.

Completed forms are then forwarded to the local authority who undertake random checks to ensure that individuals are not utilising the sites on a commercial basis.
